GDPR – Processing of your personal data in Smart Waters

Smart Waters Application (SW App) collects you ID data (first name, family name, e-mail, phone number) as well as information needed for (a) associating a boat to your account, while selecting a statute (owner, captain, agent) in the management of this boat (b) allowing Smart Waters ports (and only these) to exchange with you berthing requests and berth allocation (c) accessing your personal ID and boats documents (insurance, registry…) as requested by different ports.

When you click on the “Arrival” button while entering the port, and if you have activated positioning on your smart phone, the port will receive and display your position on his marina management screen. As soon as you click on the “Arrived!” button, this data transfer will stop. The same works at the time of departure.

Any position transfer from your smartphone will be clearly visible as a blinking green circle visible on SW App screens. SW App allows you to display events and commercial promotions while in your port of call.

Ports in SW network may contact you by mail, SMS or SW App in order to propose berthing availabilities and tariff promotions on berthing capacity.

Smart Waters and ports in the SW network are committed not to sell, distribute or ___ the data that are held by these entities, whether they consist in your personal data, those regarding your boat or documents uploaded by you. All of the data and documents in SW and SW App are deposited in a highly secured “Cloud” data center.
